Players that are part of the Plant vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 first level need help with zombies campaign can be sent invitations via E-Mail to compete in competitive 5v5 games. This feature is part of the paid DLC, but it is also available for free to all players that purchased the game on Steam or Games for Windows Live.
You can check if you are eligible to participate in competitive matches by going to the 'Start a Match' page from the 'Matchmaking' tab on the multiplayer lobby menu, or directly by selecting 'Matchmaking >, Competitive Matches' from the Steam menu. If you do not see this option, make sure you have the game installed and is running in the background.

Add game time
To add game time, go to your account settings >, Payments. From the drop down list, select Add time. The amount of game time you have purchased will be shown in the title of the game time tab. You can now remove purchased game time by selecting the arrow next to the title.
Play a selected period of time
Go to the store and select the amount of game time you want to play. Note: the amount of game time is equal to the number of days it will take to play the game for the selected period. To play a selected period of time, add game time to the game time tab at the bottom of your screen. Play the game time in your account settings. You can remove purchased game time by selecting the arrow next to the title.
Purchase multiple periods at once
You can purchase game time for multiple periods at the same time. Go to your account settings >, Payments. From the drop down list, select Add time.
